As if the poor fellas at Toyota did not have enough on their hands with this giant recall, hearings in Washington and automobiles that just will not get fixed.Now the vehicle company gives away $250 million to employees at a soon-to-close plant in California.The Fremont, Calif, plant, which employs 4,700 employees, had been a partnership between Toyota and General Motors, but GM pulled out previous summer as they wrestled with insolvency and the Japanese vehicle giant afterwards related it might end operations there on Apr one.

The $250 million is for bonuses to waged and hourly employees at the plant, which makes Corolla vehicles and Tacoma lorries. According to a study, the plant's closure will have a ripple effect that may ultimately eliminate 25,000 roles in California and lose the state $1 bill in income over the next decade.
