The $250 million is for bonuses to waged and hourly employees at the plant, which makes Corolla vehicles and Tacoma lorries. According to a study, the plant's closure will have a ripple effect that may ultimately eliminate 25,000 roles in California and lose the state $1 bill in income over the next decade.
