One: Getting a promotion is good
Promotions are not made with you under consideration -- they are made with the company under consideration. But you want to choose the steps that are ideal for you. You merit a customised career, so be cautious of all promotions.Most folks that are good at their non-management roles will not excel as leaders. It takes a precise character type to do better as a leader than as somebody who's really doing the work.The irony is that individuals that are responsible about getting their work done are promoted into leadership positions that do not value conscientiousness so much as being open to new ideas.
