Aug is a financially straining month for me. Birthdays include my spouse, eldest girl and mom not to mention Xmas is shortly coming. So customarily in July is when I begin to panic about what quantity of money I want to come up with to afford the gifts.
So I sit down and try to work out what I would like to buy them. Total it all up and attempt to work out how I am going to come up with the cash ( known as reverse engineering finance. ) Since this occasion can transliterate into most "I require more money " situations, one way I increase revenue is by raising my salary check at work.I have written eleven ways I have milked additional money out of my "real job " while not having to pickup a second job.
Milking Technique one : Stay a little late.Every 15 mins I stay late at work adds a bit more to my check. Sure, 15 mins isn't much but add it up over a 2 week pay period and it begins to show.
Milking System two : Show up a little early for a shift. Same philosophy as MM one.
Milking System three : Skip a lunch here and there. It is fairly straightforward to eat WHILE working. Stash some food close by and eat while being productive. Technically, you cannot be deducted for a lunch if you did not separate yourself from your work. Your results may change.
Milking Methodology four : Since I'm employed at a surgery, I'm able to select to take "call. " this implies I'm on a stand-by standing when I'm not at work in case somebody desires additional help. I am getting $3 an hour for being on call without reference to if I am getting called in or not. If I am doing get called in to work, I'm paid one 0.5 times my pay rate for at least 2 hours, regardless of if I only had to do 30 mins worth of work.
Milking Methodology five : Briefly raise your tax refunds. You'll have less taken from your check but ensure you reset your discounts as quickly as possible or else you will finish up owing Uncle Sam.
Milking System six : Stop your 401k refunds. This is only in serious need. For each $165.65 I have took, my surgery matches me $82.83.So you could be putting cash back into your pocket, but it'll be taxed and you will not get the match.
Milking Technique seven : Pick up an additional shift. I'm employed 4 nights a week and the other 3 nights are covered by my pal Julie.Since she has worked at our infirmary for approximately fifteen years or longer, she's very happy to take a day or 2 off and let me cover her shift. This turns into overtime which is paid out at one 0.5 times my hourly pay, as most overtime is paid.
Milking Strategy eight : I attempt to earn further money while at work. Like blogging for instance. If I'm embroiled on my work and can sit down and blog for a tiny bit, I am looking to ultimately learn how to earn some money doing it. Another worker brings PCs that he repairs for folk and fixes them during down time. Other's pitch their goods from catalogue sales like Mary Kay and Spoilt Cook to other workers. I have also built sites from my portable computer for further revenue.
Milking Methodology nine: Offer to work on an additional project.Does the office need repainting? Is there a company project that's falling behind? Files which need to get thinned out and moved into storage? Jot down a list and approach the administrator. Offer to do that stuff on your days off. It could make you look good to the boss and make you some overtime.
Milking Method ten : Burn your PTO. Some firms will let you money in your PTO but beware. Some don't allow full money value. One hospital I worked at just allowed around sixty five percent money out. So for each $100 you cashed out, you only received $65 ( and then got taxed. )
Milking Method eleven : While burning your PTO ( see MM ten ), work at a different job. You may use 2 or 3 days PTO and utilize a Non permanent Staffing Service to get a temp job at another facility. The trick is to alert the service you are available. After they tell you of an available gig, you book it and turn your PTO notice for those days.
