In its continuing fight against the robbery of its property, Warner Brothers . Is looking to battle fire with fire - or, rather, fight scholars with scholars. The studio has started hiring scholars for its new "Anti-Piracy Internship. " Warner Brothers .Describes the position :

0diggsdigg in the twelve month internship, obligations will include : monitoring local Web forums and IRC for bootlegged WB and NBCU content and to gather info on pirate sites, pirate groups and other pirate activities ; finding new and maintaining existing accounts on personal sites ; scanning for links to hosted bootlegged WB and NBCU content and using tools to distibute takedown requests ; maintaining and developing robots for Internet link scanning system ( coaching provided ) ; preparing sending of infraction notices and logging feedback ; performing trap purchases of bootlegged product and logging results ; inputting pirate hard products information and other intelligence into the forensics database ; picking local keywords and submitting local filenames for monitoring and countermeasure campaigns and intermittently manufacturing research documents on robbery related technical developments.
Varied coaching will be supplied.
