The Good and The Bad with state unemployment rate

Florida's jobless rate now stands at 12.2 p.c. This is the top rate since Florida started keeping records in the early 1970s.That's the bad news. Now for the better news. For the 1st time in over 2 years, Florida reported an once per month gain in work ; 26,300 roles

More firms are hiring and more organizations are holding job carnivals. Rebecca Rust, the chief economic guru for the State of Florida recounted the state lost 211,500 roles from Feb 2009 to Feb 2010. But last month the rate of job loss dropped at a 2.9 p.c rate.

The jobless rate changes slower than the fundamental economy. As daunted employees enter the employment market, the rate of unemployment rises.
