Columbus, Ohio-based Huntington Bancshare Inc, which operates an Ohio call center as well as the one in Holland, claimed it will employ 210 people in Holland after adding the 3rd shift. Last month Huntington related a scheme to increase lending to home businesses.
The bank claimed it wanted to loan $360 million to tiny corporations in West Michigan over the next 3 years. Overall, the bank swore to lend about $4 bill over 3 years to home businesses in its Midwest territory. Huntington has more than 1,500 staff at 115 branches in Michigan, the bank recounted.
