The green energy generated determination about 220,000 houses, spread across 7 US states - Arizona, Kansas, Idaho, Illinois, Minnesota, Washington and Oregon. The project is anticipated to create more than fifty long term jobs related to wind turbine upkeep in the agricultural areas. From its workers, the company forecasts a $1.5 million contribution to the economies of the regions where they'll live and work. The project also encompasses the enlargement of Arizona's first wind farm and other community projects in Minnesota and Kansas.

Suzlon Wind Energy's CEO Andris Cukurs recounted that while operations at the current projects with Iberdrola Renewables, Duke Energy and others continue, the company will concurrently pool in capital into rustic economies, creating green job opportunities at the new wind farms. Cukurs confirmed that air turbine installation is under progress at the new farms and efforts are being made to get them into production straight away, generating robust ROI and tax cash for the local government. In 2009, Suzlon established The Dry Lake air farm - Arizona's first commercial wind farm. The plant is kitted out with thirty Suzlon S88-2.1 MW turbines, which generate 63 MW of power.

Capitalizing on this success, Suzlon will complete the growth of the Dry Lake II wind farm, which is predicted to improve the Arizona grid's output by sixty five MW. Suzlon's wind farm workers have buttressed their local communities. One such example is Greensburg in Kansas, where they gave to the reconstructing of the whole city, 95% of which was demolished in the May 2006 tornado. The ten Suzlon S64-1.25 MW air turbines installed at Greensburg can generate satisfactory wind power to power about 3,750 houses. Now , over 1,750 MW of air turbine capacity has been installed in the U.S.

By Suzlon. By the end of 2010, the company is expecting to increase this capacity to 2,480 MW.
