A local company is expanding internationally and that would mean more hi tech roles for the Valley.Last year, officers with Zethus Software accepted a financial award from the Creativity Fund to aid in getting their business off the ground.This year, they revealed a global cooperation with Bruker-AXS, a German-based company that manufactures systematic apparatus.

"It permits a little company that is an initial stage company to ramp up, push out the product out worldwide, " related Boss man Brad Meyers. "It's pretty unique for a company of our size to get an international distribution cooperation with, you know, with an international company.

"The partnership permits Zethus to grow and gain ten to fifteen new positions by the end of the present year.It's projected they could hire just about one hundred more folks by 2014. That is all thanks to one piece of hardware, which collects information generated from a lab or an experiment.

"The cyber lab piece of that permits folk to come in remotely internationally, any where in the world, and access that data and also run the Brucker clobber worldwide, " recounted Meyers. Zethus, based at the Youngstown Incubator, ganged up with Youngstown State University's chemistry dept to develop the technology.

"They conversed with me about what they are good at with their technology, and I conversed with them about what kind of computing technology I'd like to do, and we just found a great overlap, " claimed professor Allen Hunter. The partnership will create a couple of advanced functions in several industries including the medical field. For example, lab clobber might be run remotely with the results being stored electronically. About 45 roles will be made from the cooperation with incomes ranging between $40,000 and $70,000 a year.
