Free computer training program for unemployed from Microsoft and NYC

New York will be offering free PC coaching for underemployed residents across the state thru Redmond, Wash.-based Microsoft's " Raise America " programme.As an element of the programme, the country's Dep. of Work will distribute 71,000 vouchers for online coaching and validation thru Single-stop Career Centres across the state. The Raise America programme in New York will be offering courses starting from basic technology literacy to intermediate- and advanced-level technology abilities coaching. A part of the vouchers will be issued for Microsoft Ratification Examinations at no charge to the receivers.

"As our underemployed struggle thru this tough work marketplace, we want to find each resource available to keep their abilities sharpened, and this new cooperation with Microsoft will do just that, " Gov. David Paterson announced in a press release. "the abilities learned thru this free training programme will give New Yorkers a competitive edge and probably make a difference between a company hiring one individual over another. " Any New Yorkstate citizen may request a voucher by registering at a local Single-stop Career Center. Vouchers are available on a first-come, first-out basis through June twenty-four, and users will have twelve months from the date of their voucher activation to use the e-learning courses.
